Kijiji email notifications

So kijiji is a buy-sell website with multiple different sections depending on the product you want to buy (obviously...). Now I would like setup a script or something (the means is why I am here, I need help with it) that sends me an email eveytime an item is added to a specific category. Now most of the time that would be done through an API im assuming, but is it possible via curl, wget or do I have to build a web bot for that? Anyway, just let me know the method you would use :)
