I've worked with BSD and Linux for almost 11 years now, professionally. The last year RHEL6, it's very new to me and it has been fun and exciting to learn it. There's always more to learn but so far I've solved major incidents on it, fixed broken yum transactions, kickstarted it with cobbler and had SElinux enforcing by default throughout this exciting year.
The last part has lead to writing simple policies, using 3rd party policies and solving problems with audit.log. But I can tell that there is much to learn because I haven't used many of the command line tools that extract info from audit.log for example.
So now I'm being sent to the RH300 rapid track course with those exams and I'm just wondering if I should study at all or if the exams are relatively easy for people who are already fluent in CLI and mainly Debian distros.
TL;DR: Did any of you experienced Debian/BSD admins need to study RHEL6 for your RHCE exams? Is it enough to have fundamental CLI knowledge or do you need much RHEL specific experience?
