Looking for my first linux job

Hello all as the title says I am looking to get my first Linux. I have about ten years experience in the IT field, mainly with Windows, but I have always had a thing for Linux. I don't have much experience with Linux other than some small projects plus occasionally running it at home as my main OS and trying to get it to work with my hardware. Some other projects I have done include setting up a LAMP server for mysql authentication with vsftpd as well as setting up a file server for roaming Windows profiles in a small shop I used to work at. This was all back in 2007 - 2008. More recently I did a project at home where I had Ubuntu acting as a Samba 4 domain controller, and I was able to administer it by installing RSAT on a Windows 7 box.

Right now I am doing tier 1 help desk for a midsize company. (was out of work for a few years due to health and personal issues so had to start at the bottom again) The only unix/linux I am doing right now is resetting password on their unix based system and other doing some greping everything is pretty much pre-configured with menu options.

I am going to speak to my supervisor to see if I can help one of the unix/linux admins with some non critical projects just to get some more experience.

I am also studying for the RHCSA using th RHCSA and RHCE Training and Exam Preparation Book as well as videos from Linux Academy. I also have a virtual machine setup CentOS minimal installed. I don't plan on installing a desktop environment simply because I want to be as comfortable as possible doing things on at the CLI.

i am also thinking about making videos showcasing what I have learned along the way to getting my Red Hat cert, providing a portfolio of sorts as a well as a resource for anyone else pursuing this cert.

With all this in mind, does anyone have any tips for getting that first Linux based job? I am in Pittsburgh, PA and right now relocating is not an option. Thanks in advance.
