I just built a new workstation to use with Cuda, but am having major problems getting nVidia proprietary drivers to work correctly (Pretty much the whole UI locks up and becomes unresponsive as soon as you switch to nVidia drivers and restart). I have been struggling with this for almost a week now!

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 with an NVidia Titan X btw.
