What's the general thinking as 2015 winds down on how to handle office services in the context of a virtualized environment, for best practices? The usual suspects:
- DNS servers
- DHCP
- SMB share host
- LDAP
- etc
Office size is 60 people, mostly developers. Maybe the equivalent again of about +60-80 people in 'volume' from various automation purposes, likely to scale to maybe 200 between human and automation sooner or later.
A central "services" box, that hosts these as needed, and then split off when needed to dedicated hosts (e.g. a dedicated DHCP small server)? Microservices and apps like in Docker? Start small, promote upward to larger containers as needed?
