Recently all Linux servers here (about 600 of them) have been set up to use Quest Authentication services with Active Directory. Since that happened, all Linux local user accounts (except for the group that manages Quest) have been deleted. Root still exists, but can only log in from the vcentre console.
Does anyone have a similar setup? How well has this worked out / not worked out for you? Has there been any situations where a local login was an absolute requirement?
