KVM on Windows?

Hi, I am quite the newbie to Linux. I have Jang's book for the RHCSA and have begun wading through it. I am confused about the KVM that he wants us to set up. I have been trying to get familiar with Linux via Virtual Box and CentOS 6.5 on my host Windows 7 laptop. Now that I got the book it recommends using KVM as my virtual solution. I think that KVM is Linux based, right? So do I have to try to run KVM on my Virtual Box to set up the labs or am I way off course? Please me gentle about my ignorance. Thanks Wes
