I have a server that on boot, stops at 'udev [ ok ]' on screen, and wont bring up a local login prompt. However I can log into it via ssh, the disk isn't mounted RO on boot, and seems to at least be running some of the services it should, if not all...
any ideas where to look to figure out why?
A bit of info: virtual machine running on kvm, with Centos 6.5 as the os
When you cat /var/log/boot.log, the udev service tells you it is starting, ad displays [ok] but doesnt appear to do anytihng. so some log files are not being generated...
in a normal boot after that it'd set hostname, and disks, these appear to run, but nothing prints to screen.
