Question about templates on Nagios.

Hello all. I am posting this question here because it looks like the Nagios subreddit is not that active.

Is there a way to create a template that you can assign to a hostgroup to use? For example if you have 30 web servers that belong to hostgroup "web-servers" to somehow tell Nagios to use a template to execute specific service checks for that hostgroup?

I have used OVO in the past and I am trying to see if there is any common ground.
