A few days ago, I posted that I was being interviewed. Well, I had my interview this morning and I really have no idea what to make of it. It was with 4 devops guys.
They asked me how I got to where I am today and that went okay and they asked about my expierience with computers and such. They know I have no professional experience. What surprised me was that they didn't ask any technical questions. Also, the interview didn't last too long. Only about 30-40 minutes. But, after about 15 or 20 minutes, they were already asking if I had questions. I did and I tired my best to convey my enthusiaism.
There were two questions I wasn't expecting which was if I had even been told I was wrong with no explination. I said yes and they asked how I handled it. I'm not sure what they thought. They were nodding their head and had that look on their face like they thought it was interesting. Then, they asked about my hobbies and I know I bombed that one because I was not expecting it. I know I should have, but I just didn't think about it. I know that one thing they do is try to see if you'll fit in so I don't think I did that too well.
In the end, one of them said that he would contact me within the next couple of weeks and let me know the next step. Overall, I really can't tell how it went. In some ways, it felt good, in some really bad. I was concerned about the time. It really threw me off for my question portion because it came so quickly. I'm also concerned because there were no tech questions. I asked if they had hesitations about my qualifications but they said no and that underqualified wasn't a deal-breaker for me and they joked about one of the interviewer's resumes and experience when he started.
Anyway, someone in the other thread mentioned updating so, here I am!
