Linux Showdown 6 is set for Tue. Feb 25 to Thur. Feb 27, the week following SCALE 12x so folks have had a chance to get home from the show.
The Linux Showdown is a 3day Linux system administration contest using break-fix scenarios on a virtual Linux server where participants can compete for prizes and showcase their admin skills. The contest runs from 9am to midnight with a new scenario each day and a full walk-through solution is posted the following night at 1am on our blog.
And just so you know what to study up for this time around: LS6 will be using CentOS 6. Day 1 is nginx, Day 2 is MySQL, and Day 3 will be a devops style scenario where you can use your choice of Chef, puppet, or a script in whatever language you prefer.
Visit http://trueability.com/linuxshowdown/ for more information and to see the past leaderboards.
And if you're looking for something to do in the meanwhile, you can check out our instructional Give It A Shot scenario, our 15 minute Mini-Challenges, or replay any of the days from LS5 at http://trueability.com/
