We have launched a couple of new site features in addition to job postings that I feel might be of interest to the community.
First is the "Give It A Shot" blog series that will cover different tools and techniques for Linux system administration and then offers up the chance try it out on a live server: http://blog.trueability.com/2014/01/how-to-get-started/
The other feature is the beta launch of Mini-Challenges. These are meant to provide something to do in the downtime between our Linux Showdowns and are intended to be short, single scenario tasks with a 15 minute time limit: http://blog.trueability.com/2014/01/mini-linux-challenges/
Headsup: In order to take either of the challenges, you'll be asked to set up an account which is going to ask for an email and SMS phone number.
Finally, also wanted to mention that the next Linux Showdown will probably be in mid-March during SXSW. If you have any suggestions for technologies you'd like to see covered, I'd love to hear about it.
