Our NIS/NFS server is getting page allocation failures relatively frequently in the syslog. This came to our attention when machines started freezing up because they couldn't communicate with the server. We recently replaced all of the RAM, which (seems to have) stopped the freezes, but the PAFs continue (albeit at a much lesser lesser rate). We've also increased swap space significantly.
Is this something I should be concerned about? The machines seem to be functioning much more normally now.
EDIT: Whoa, just checked in on this thread! I'll have more info for you guys tomorrow - had a long one today and have to do some other stuff tomorrow morning before I do this stuff. Thanks for all the responses.
