Hello! I am new to linux with servers, but I have had some experience with Linux in general. My deal is this - I just got a server put together, and I plan on using Ubuntu server on it for web hosting, file hosting, and small scale minecraft. Does anyone have any pointers that could help me out with this? I am thinking of putting Samba/LAMP packages on it along with JVM. I would like to put a GUI interface on it (I am a fan of LXDE) until I get good enough to run without, saving some system resources. If anyone has anything they can shout out to help me get this running, I would love it.
