Trouble getting NIS to start in OpenSUSE 12.1

Hey all,

My company uses OpenSUSE 11.4 on our collection of 100+ workstations. I am currently looking at the possibility of rolling out 12.1. I've begun creating an image, but hit a snag towards the beginning- NIS cannot be configured using our normal means.

In YaST, I go to Network-->NIS and key the domain in for our LAN. I click 'Find' and it discovers the two NIS IP's. After adding them both and clicking accept, OpenSUSE attempts to start NIS, which fails because of the error message, "Cannot find NIS Servers."

Any ideas on how I should proceed from here? Without NIS, this computer is pretty much useless.
