I'm curious to know how the admins here of all Linux (or mostly Linux) networks provide Exchange functionality to their users or what they do instead to provide mail, calendaring, and contact manager functionality both on the server side and client sides.
Also, do you use the Outlook client or a different client?
The main reason that I am asking is because we use a hosted exchange provider. They recently have had a series of outages and price increases that are causing us to look for alternatives including bringing the hosting in-house. We would like to get away from Exchange but retain the functionality.
In response to a few requests for our requirements: We currently have 35 employees with individual mailboxes, about 10 group mailboxes, and 17 aliases. As the employees are already comfortable with Outlook we would prefer to stay with that but are open to switching.
