A few questions on kvm-based virtual machines

Hi,

i have a few questions:

  • If I decide to rent a kvm-based vps, how easy is it for the kvm host to access my data. I have read that a virtual drive can but should not be mounted by the host as it can break the guest.
  • If I use encrypted loop devices on said kvm and somone mounts the virtual drive on which the kvm runs, are currently guest-mounted loop-devices also accessible through the host-mounted directory tree.
  • Can I safely disable all running tty so access is limited to ssh.

Please note that I am aware of the fact that self-hosting on a vps gives a false sense of security, that's not why I am doing it. I want to play around and these questions came to mind.

If you feel you want to add to these questions, please do.
