Postfix/Amavis Mail Server with virtual users - can I move spam to IMAP "junk" folder?

Hi there,

As a complete mail noob, I've set up a simple mail server which uses Postfix, virtual mail users, IMAP, SASL, Amavis/ClamAv/SpamAssassin. So far the setup works great - a few hiccups along the road, but it's sorted now.

There's one thing not working as it should though. When a spam email comes in (for example, the GTUBE spam test), the following happens:

  • Message is passed to Amavis

  • Amavis passes to SpamAssassin

  • SpamAssassin sends it back to amavis, tagged as spam

  • Amavis (?) adds "***SPAM***" to subject

  • Email is delivered, lands in inbox

I verified this in the mail log.

That's not the ideal solution, though. I'm looking for it to be sent straight to the junk folder (instead of adding "***SPAM***" to subject)

I googled for how to do this, but I couldn't find anything that applied to me.

Thanks.
