Hi,
I am an IT student and will be graduating with my Associates Degree in a month or two. In the fall I will be going off to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in IT. The school I will be attending offers a few concentrations including System Administration and Web Development.
I am very skilled, compared to my classmates, and very interested in using Linux. I enjoy scripting, using the CLI, and learning all I can about how the OS works. I would like to get a career using Linux/Unix and am wondering which concentration I should study at school.
Should I study System Administration and try to get a job as a Unix Sysadmin? or should I study Web development and teach myself LAMP administration?
Which is easier to find a job in and could someone quickly explain the skills required by each, please?
Thank you in advance!
