I have a Samba 3 PDC where I am a member of "Domain_Admins" which is mapped to "Domain Admins" but when I log in to a Windows machine, I'm not an admin; I'm just a regular user.
If I add a new user to Domain_Admins, the new account does have admin rights on Windows clients. But, my older account in the Domain_Admins group does not have admin rights on the Windows clients.
So, new members of Domain_Admins have admin rights on Windows clients, but older ones do not. Something must've gone wrong somewhere, but I'm not sure what that would be. It would be great if I could restore my existing account to real "Domain Admin" status without deleting it and re-creating it.
Suggestions on troubleshooting this are welcome! Thanks.
*Edit: My account did work as an actual "Domain Admin" at one point, but stopped somewhere along the way.
