Hey guys,
I've just been given a date and time for a phone interview for a job I applied for a few days ago, with the job title being Junior Linux Engineer for a large companies network operations center. This would be my first job in the industry since finishing university last year with a network engineering degree.
Not including the very minimal module that I studied in uni, my only experience with linux has been personal use on a desktop for the last 2-3 years, as well as a headless home debian server for file storage, firewall/routing, dns, dhcp and general experimentation. It serves as my home networks router and firewall as well as housing an 8TB raid 5 mdadm array. Everything was setup through the command line so I definitely feel comfortable in that area even though I know I've only just scratched the surface.
I know that the manager who will be interviewing me is very experienced in Linux and is red hat certified. He himself has seen my cv and was the one who suggested the phone interview so he will know that my experience is limited.
I was told by the hr rep that I will be asked a lot about linux and given situational support questions to test my knowledge.
My question to the good people of r/linuxadmin is can anyone give me any idea of what sort of questions may be asked so that I can better prepare myself.
Thanks in advance.
