I really want to be a Linux SysAdmin after I graduate, and my English teacher has assigned a paper in which I have to interview someone from my desired career field. Would any of you guys be willing to let me interview you via DMs? That would be so awesome.
Here are my questions, if you guys want to just answer in the comments:
What are some of the more specific duties that your job entails (obviously maintaining various services on a network of Linux systems, but are there some "between-the-lines" things that you have to do)?
How is writing - in any form - incorporated into the job? (This question is specific to my English class, which is very writing-intensive.)
What is your favorite part of being a SysAdmin? (This could be anything, it's just something that I'd like to add to the paper.)
