So, we have a remote office. Users need file server access. Right now, they use OpenVPN to connect to main office to access files. File server is Samba4. What I'd really like is to set up a clustered/mirrored file server at the remote office, however it seems like clustered file systems don't really play nice with high latency links. A caching proxy (like FS-Cache for NFS) is my next thought, but that doesn't seem to exist.
It looks like a duplicate server and Unison is my best option, but I don't really like the idea of conflicting versions of files. Can anyone think of a good option?
