18+ years in IT - time to leave M$ behind and go for RHEL certs... Fedora or CentOS to brush up?

In addition to Windows Server (NT 3.51 through 2012) I've managed *NIX on and off for years, HP-UX first, then AIX, with doses of Red Hat and now RHEL 5/6... the latter only sparingly professionally and as a hobby. I've been told Fedora is the closest open-source you can get to RHEL, is that still the case or should I spin up a CentOS instance?
