I'm hoping to connect with other administrators who have similar setups or who work in a higher education environment so that I can compare notes.
We're running two servers, both VM's, one Ubuntu 14.04, one RHEL 6.7. Profiles are mounted from the RHEL server, via NFS, to 74 Ubuntu 14.04 terminals. I'm also working with an OpenSuse 13 stack that has around 30 blades.
In particular, how do you handle account creation, sudo policy and logging? Any tips or suggestions from your experiences?
EDIT: Would like to point out that the system is separate from the college primary student accounts (not tied into it in anyway) and I'm relatively new to linux administration. Come from a primarily Windows background.
