Delaying patches for 1 month on production systems

Hello, I am wondering if there is a good way to delay patches for one month on production systems.

For example on our dev environment we install all patches as of april 15th. When we do the production system on may 15th we would like to only install patches that were released before april 15th since those are the ones that have been tested for a month.

We are using Ubuntu 14.04
