I work for an ISP and we've got a legacy system that was written by an old sysadmin which is starting to show its age. He is not really able to support it and we're often having issues with it.
What we'd like is something we can install locally that we can rebrand, create accounts for customers (they're all businesses, so they often want to be able to log in and configure their own hosts and services to monitor), and it should have the capability to send email and SMS alerts.
Most of these will be nothing more than ping alerts, but we've got some who monitor web servers, mail servers, and some that check for TLS cert expirations.
We use nagios, cacti, and zabbix inhouse but I'm looking for something simpler for our end users. Something where they can plug in an IP address or a hostname and have it monitor pings as easily as that. Does that exist?
Can a more complex solution be modified to do this?
Any help appreciated, thanks.
