I built a nagios server in Debian, its working great, pretty satisfied with how it is set up, doing inherited configurations for hosts and service checks. All is well. I installed NSTI. I have the web interface working, and I have traps showing up from 'unknown' gear. The traps are in numerical OID, so I don't know what the gear is trying to tell me. I understand that I need to build configurations from the snmp mibs to have NSTI understand the traps, but can't quite get it to work. Then, how do I make checks that auto alert me when a trap comes in? Does anyone here have a lot of experience with NSTI?
