vdsmd trouble

Hey guys,

I'm in the final stages of a project I've been working on and off for a few months, a self hosted oVirt deployment using GlusterFS for storage and CTDB for failover.

I've got the deployment process ironed out and scripted with Ansible, but am noticing some troubling scenarios which I'm not sure are going to mess me up when I deploy the hosted engine on my second/third hosts.

Deployment of the three machines is identical, yet on each subsequently deployment I've noticed that the vdsmd service only starts correctly on my first node. I'm not entirely sure what it's used for, but understand that it's a critical part of oVirt. journalctl -xn is showing me that there is a dependency failure for the 'MOM instance' on the second and third servers in my setup.

Is this service supposed to be running on only one node, or should it start up fine on all three since they are deployed exactly the same using a config mgmt tool?

If anyone can shed some light on what the typical behavior of vdsmd it would be greatly appreciated...
