If I'm building a full virtual lab (servers, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and so on), how many services is it reasonable to put on one machine?

Let's say I make a VM that has 8GB storage and 512 MB RAM. Can I do DHCP and DNS on that machine without issues, or is that a bad idea? And with 512 to 1GB RAM on a machine, how many services overall should be running?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm trying to figure out what I can and can't consolidate since I'm labbing on a desktop with 8GB RAM total right now. It's upgradeable but only to 16GB, and by the end of everything I'll probably have between 12 and 20 VMs running concurrently at some point.
