Question: How to get consistent UID mapping for Samba4 AD?

Hi there,
I have a network currently setup to using Samba4 AD with Likewise as the client's backend. It's been working fine, however; recently I've set up a new server and was told to test out sssd. I was able to join the domain without a problem, but...I noticed the UID/GID for the users and group were all different. I read that a common backend is required for consistent ID mapping...but is there any way around it? Or should I just stick with one? Also how are the UIDs/GIDs generated? I though it was created with a user account on AD. On another note, since I'm currently testing sssd out, should I replace Likewise with it or stick with what I have? Also I've tried out Winbind for another machine and yeah...different UID/GID.
