Hello All, I'm working on a virtual server I have rented out, and it's running centos 6, and i'm using the most up to date version of apache for Centos 6..
However, I notice that 'randomly' all the httpd processes will go to 5-10% CPU usage and total max out the CPU... I've tried playing around with the httpd.conf for MaxServers, ServerLimit, RequestsPerChild, etc... however, it doesn't seem to matter... There are bursts where the websites FLY without any issues...
And there are times that the websites crawl and take 60 seconds or more to load... if at all...
Is there any way to tell through any log files or such if there is something like a DDOS going on or if I'm getting a crap-load of traffic to one of my sites?
I'm running 4 sites with a few subdomains as well... and until now, there hasn't been any issues with the sites taking traffic...
Anyone willing to help? Ask what you need and I shall try to deliver as best as possible.
