New to Samba, need to set up a file server, encountering strange problems. (Cents 7)

I'm new to Samba, and I have Samba 4 on Centos 7. I'm attempting to set up a file server. My Smb.conf file looks like this:

[public] comment = Public Stuff Test valid user = thetestuser path = /home/samba public = yes printable = no write list = +staff

testuser has already been added, thought I could not get the samba-tool command to run.

I've chown'ed the folder to match the user. I've disabled the firewall as well.

Yesterday, I tested this share by logging on to share via my make and smb//x.x.x.x/home/samba and I connected. Today, it would not work.
