(I just haven't had any luck with Samba. Yes, I know it's me and my knowledge limitations.)
I need to build a file server to share with everything from XP to Win 7 Pro. What options do I have? I thought of NFS, but from what I can tell nothing but Win 7 Enterprise has NFS support built-in. I'm wondering what other technologies are out there that I haven't considered. I really don't want to install a Windows server just for this, but if Samba is the only route to go, then I might be stuck (given my time constraint).
