Can you spare 20 minutes to answer 24 questions and help me understand your server Windows Server OS and server application deployment pain-points..?

Hi /r/LinuxAdmin,

You might think that I'm lost, but I'm posting here because I hope that this subreddit may have some guidance for me.

I am a Program Manager on the Windows Server 2016 team researching how we can improve server and server application (services) deployment on Windows Server.

We are looking to understand the most painful aspects in your environment first (time, cost, uncertainty, stress, etc.) that come from installing Windows Server, preparing it, and then installing server applications (databases, web servers, web services, etc.) and getting it ready for business use. Once we understand what is painful and why, we will start looking at potential mitigations / solutions.

I have a short list of questions and would like to schedule a brief ~20 minute call with anyone who regularly does server OS and server application installs and who is willing to share their experiences and current work-arounds with me.

I can't just post the survey here because the process we're using (Lean Customer Development) requires a dialog (gasp!)

I'm especially interested in talking about Linux vs Windows Server experiences and tools, if you happen to have some experience with both.

Please PM me if you are interested in helping by providing feedback / insight.

Many Thanks!!! -Rob.
