LACP on linux

In reading this https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/3gut0b/nic_teaming_lacp/

It got me thinking about LACP on Linux. Specifically this part

LACP will alow multiple streams across the link (3gbps aggregate), but any single file transfer will be limited to 1/N capacity (1gbps per transfer).

Would Linux load balance the single file transfer across all three NICs and get > 1Gbps per transfer?

I cant really find any specifics that say it either way. I would guess it wouldnt be a Microsoft thing to do it that way and more be an LACP thing?
