I'm running an amazon EC2 Linux Virtual Machine to host an apache/php website. I am, if I'm being totally honest, a little out of my depth.
What's a good (simple) web traffic monitoring suite? All I need's ip addresses, the pages they requested, and the timestamp. Device information (ie: "iPhone 5: Safari" vs "windows desktop: chrome ") would be a major plus, and really help shape the site.
previously I've used google analytics to monitor web traffic, but I'm not super impressed by the information about user behavior it gives. (and it's often blocked). what are the alternatives?
I'm looking at AWStats, would /r/linuxadmin concur? is there a better "for dummies" option?
