I have a handful of pop3 email boxes that need to be monitored. Since I cannot enable IMAP on those servers, I thought that it would be a good idea to setup an Email Gateway server which will fetch the emails from said servers via pop3, and then provide an IMAP interface to allow accessing them from multiple devices.
Would fetchmail + dovecot work in such a setup?
Has anyone setup anything similar? Any tips or things to avoid?
