I've been doing Linux admin work for a couple years, and my resume is good enough that I get calls back when I apply for jobs. But for whatever reason, I'm not interested in doing on-call rotations. I don't apply when the job posting lists this as a requirement. But I've seen instances where they don't list it in the job posting, but later in the interview process it comes up and I end up declining.
Is there some industry or somewhere that I should look where I can find admin jobs that don't require off-hours on-call type stuff? Does this even exist, or did I just pick the wrong field to accommodate this request?
