I have a small lab of about 25 machines that I have been running various flavors of Linux over the years (currently CentOS 6). I have been using NIS/NFS for quite a while, but am considering moving over to OpenLDAP. The lab is secure, on a VLAN and no external access to the lab. Less than 50 users. Any reason to move or not to OpenLDAP? I'm looking at going back to Ubuntu Server and some flavor of Ubuntu, Mate or Xubuntu, for the clients.
