Hi guys, I am kind of new to the Linux realm and I was wondering if you all could help me.
I ran a chkrootkit on one of my Ubuntu servers and I got the following for suspicious files.
Searching for suspicious files and dirs, it may take a while... The following suspicious files and directories were found:
/lib/modules/3.16.0-38-generic/vdso/.build-id /lib/modules/3.16.0-30-generic/vdso/.build-id /lib/modules/3.16.0-37-generic/vdso/.build-id /lib/modules/3.16.0-38-generic/vdso/.build-id /lib/modules/3.16.0-30-generic/vdso/.build-id /lib/modules/3.16.0-37-generic/vdso/.build-id
Is this something I should be worried about?
I also noticed that it did not test the syslogd. Checking `syslogd'... not tested
Does this need to be tested?
The machine is a Ubuntu 14.04.2 server.
