Would you take a job at Google for 63% less base pay

Say you interviewed at Google recently. You have an offer in hand at a great company with perks that are totally comparable to Google, but only select people will know of the company. You may be getting an offer from Google (you don't know yet) but you have been told what to expect, and the base pay would be 63 percent of the base pay of the offer you have in hand. However there would also be Google stock units to consider. Would you take that deal just for the Google brand, or just go for the higher paying job at a place less known but with just as good perks as Google?

EDIT: not 63% less pay, 63% of the offer in hand.
