How do I collect mail from a POP3 mailbox and automatically forward the Mail to another email address?

A client of mine has an old ISP account that has been grandfathered about 4 times, starting at a small ISP and then migrated up through larger ones as the smaller companies have been bought out. He would like mail sent to this account to appear in his Exchange Mailbox (Hosted Exchange).

The new ISP does not offer any sort of mail forwarding for the old grandfathered email accounts (he's on a POP3 only plan) and the Hosted Exchange provider does not offer a POP3 Connector to poll external POP3 mailboxes.

I have a VPS (Hosted with Jumba) running Ubuntu Server 9.10 (I imagine this could be upgraded) that I use for a bunch of different odds and ends and so I'd like to use it to periodically scrape his POP3 mailbox and then automatically push the mail out to his new address.

(I don't use the server for any sort of mail functions at the moment.)

What is the simplest and most effective way to achieve this?
