Is there a way to print out on a linux desktop the IP number? kind of like an applet? I need to be able to see it from a distance what IP each person is on.

Our servers run gnome / kde and Cairo and I many times (dynamic ips) have to remotely kill processes or do some admin stuff on a network of private linux boxes. As I walk around the classroom it would be nice to just jot down the ip's and go back and fix the desktops
