I'm drafting up some long due documentation for a data consolidation project we've been doing at work. Part of this is setting a standard as to mounting this SAN share.
For Windows it's easy, we just pick a letter and say if mounting this location you always do it as this letter and you do it from the root path.
For linux it's more convoluted because the mount can be mounted anywhere. Is there a standard that's universally agreed upon as to where to put a san mount? If not what's the consensus among linux admins?
EDIT - I'm guessing I would set the standard of the SAN drive to be mounted in /mnt/<nameofroot>?
