Hi
Is anyone able to suggest a good way to get to grips with connecting to iSCSI targets via Red Hat/CentOS/SL etc?
I'm preparing for the RHCE and while I think I could just memorize the process of connecting to a target I really want to put it into practice a few times first. However this means creating a target to connect to, and this is a lot easier said than done. While I have an old unused Equallogic at work, I'm pretty reluctant to fire it up, connect a switch etc, and to be honest it will be a cold day in hell before I ever have enough free time at work to carry out such a task.
From what I can see the best option for this is FreeNAS, I've gone down this road in the past and while I've gotten to point where I can see a target available I've never been able to connect to it, though I could never figure out why. I'd like to have another go at setting up a target with FreeNAS, so if any one can recommend some good resources that would be great.
Aside from that, are there any other ways of practising this? I mean I could just use the production servers at work...
Thanks!
