Passed my RHCSA this morning. Just taking a victory lap and sharing my experience.

250/300. I would KILL to know what I was docked for, because I tested everything and felt like I nailed it. Oh well.

I've been working with RHEL near-daily as a major part of my job for the last year and a half, so I really didn't put too much effort into studying for this one. Previous experience was limited to a few boredom-inspired Ubuntu installs on my desktop. I bought all the books but in all honesty I didn't really ever crack them. I brushed up on what I was uncomfortable with from the requirements then just sat my ass in the chair to give it a shot.

There were some hairy moments but it was nothing that a manpage and some digital elbow grease couldn't solve. Still though, I only had about 7 minutes left at the end after doing a reboot and a final check.

Honestly the worst part of the entire thing was the FUCKING CAMERAS! There's this weird arm loaded with cameras that goes over the monitor all the way up over your head so they can even see the keyboard. Talking to the guy who I knew could also see my face, my screen, my keyboard, and everything else I was doing was a real mindfuck.

Once I got into the swing of it I didn't have time to think too much about it, but it's definitely something to prepare yourself for...they REALLY don't want you to cheat.

Anyways, onto the RHCE before December turns it into a systemd mess!
