Previous admin, looking for tools to run a few sites on a VPS

Hi. I used to run a Linux server that hosted several sites, and of course it was all done through SSH and command line and config files. That took up a lot of my time, and most of my time now is spent on my school and on my company. So what I'm looking for is an easy way to do just a few things with a VPS; they are:

  • Host a few sites, about 4
  • Have email addresses, mostly ones that just forward to other accounts
  • Maybe host a Ventrilo server or Minecraft for fun (not too important)
  • Personal use VPN (maybe)

I recall using an SQL Admin tool that made things very easy. Of course, installing PHPMySQL works too, I guess. Then I heard about RApache, which looks like it can create the virtual servers for multiple sites. I'm just not sure what to do about easy email forwarding set-up, I guess.

I'd also appreciate any tools that allow me to avoid SSH and config files, either that I can install on the VPS or on my Mac to command the VPS remotely.

I'm a little afraid of webmin, but this theme makes it look appealing http://code.google.com/p/webmin-theme-stressfree/. Is that my answer to everything? When I did the webmin demo I couldn't find email forwarding.

Thanks, and I respect anyone that wants to argue for the command line, approach, I do, I just easily forget and don't have time to learn/relearn everything. I was born into a GUI world, can't help it. I've seen forum threads get derailed by arguments about this, just please spare mine!

EDIT: http://ubuntuservergui.com Looks promising but isn't out yet.

EDIT: It looks like the VPS I had in mind might include this http://www.solusvm.com/features.php . Would it meet my primary needs?
