Solaris Patching (5.8/5.9/5.10 SPARC and 5.10 X86) ... Need Help

I have approximately 1000 Solaris 5.8, 5.9, 5.10 and 5.10 X86 servers that I need to patch.

I do not have access to any tools that would make this easier like Puppet of Cfengine.

Some locations have a NAS share available where I can stage patches.

Most, however, do not.

I have a login for Oracle and can download patches (or patch bundles?) from there.

The problem is that I know nothing about Solaris or Solaris patching. I'm strictly a RHEL\Debian guy ... well, I was.

I need to create quarterly baselines and get the right patches to the servers. I am having no end of dependency issues and real problems with the amount of patches (in upwards of 10GiB in some cases).

Any and all information about Solaris patch management and patching would be greatly appreciated. I am totally lost here and I really hope that someone here might be able to share some knowledge.
