So I just read the article over at http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03/21/how_to_get_paid_more/ (posted at /r/sysadmin) and it got me thinking.
By keeping a random shell open on some part of my screen that's constantly scrolling something it would help contribute to my "Constant Visible Productivity". I know I've heard stories about it's success here and other places as well. So I was wondering, do you have anything that you run to "show" that you're working?
Do you have anything that uses small amounts of resources? Colorful output?
I don't want to be recompiling gnome chess 5 times a day.
